Galway.
We arrived in Galway on Tuesday evening after waiting for a ship to leave the dock before we could go in. Having arrived outside the dock at 4 o'clock we waited on a mooring left over from the Volvo Ocean race last year which Galway hosted. We're staying until at least Saturday so that we can watch the offshore power boat racing. This weekend is a Bank holiday in Ireland and there's lots on in the town as well as the offshore race. Actually we stayed 5 nights in the end and reluctantly left on the Sunday. The around Ireland power boat race started in Galway on the Saturday so we sat on the front and watched the first 2 races.

The entertainment theme for the weekend in the town was Little Havana Festival in the Latin quarter of Galway.
We left Galway on the Sunday for Rossaveal for one night on a mooring before proceeding on to Inishbofin island on Monday 07 June.
